Sant Jordi

He començat molts posts amb un conte o una història i avui, Sant Jordi, dia del llibre per excel·lència no pot ser menys. El conte d’avui és brevíssim i no l’he inventat jo. Però em fa una il·lusió especial donar-vos-el a conèixer. Aquest conte el va escriure el meu fill quan tenia sis anys –ara ja en té nou- i va aparèixer a la revista de Sant Jordi de la seva escola. Deia així:

“Una vegada es va organitzar un concurs de dracs per veure quin era el més terrible, el que treia flames més grosses o el que s’havia menjat més donzelles. Però hi va haver un drac que no hi va poder anar, perquè Sant Jordi l’estava matant.”

La cosa podria donar per més, però ell ho va deixar aquí i aquí ho deixo jo.

Preparatius. Dies atrafagadíssims que culminen demà. Corredisses, ensurts, presses, ja tenim?, on he deixat?, has agafat?, el programa informàtic no ens estima i ens fa creure que hem perdut un grapat d’hores de feina, algú s’empipa, tenim mal de panxa... Sort del súper Leo i el súper Rubén i altra gent que, tot i que pensa que estem una mica tocades de l’ala –no saben que en realitat estem tocades de poesia-, ens dóna un cop de mà quan fa falta.

Fa un temps vaig tenir ocasió de comprar en un antiquari la bola de vidre d’una bruixa que, sense família que pogués heretar els seus béns, va decidir vendre-s’ho tot i anar-se’n a Austràlia a empaitar cangurs. Així és que us puc anticipar tot el que passarà demà. La diada de Sant Jordi a l’institut serà un èxit espaterrant. No pot ser altrament. La Nimue i jo hi hem dedicat tantes hores i tants esforços que tot sortirà a la perfecció.

D’entrada l’ambientació: més de cent roses fetes de paper pinotxo escampades per tot l’institut, un drac enorme fet de patchwork damunt d’una senyera encara més gran i la presència de la nostra convidada especial: Mercè Rodoreda.


El leitmotiv, un conte d’aquesta escriptora de la qual conmemorem el centenari del naixement: El gelat rosa. I tot gira al seu voltant: el punt de llibre, el muntatge de vídeo, els bombons fets amb pètals de rosa deshidratats i ensucrats... “Per què et menges les roses?” Li pregunta més d’un cop el seu enamorat. “Si sempre menges roses, et tornaràs rosa.” Una història d’amor, dolça i trista. Dolça com el gelat. Trista com la mateixa biografia de Mercè Rodoreda.

I ens envoltarem de roses i de llibres, ens menjarem les roses, ens capbussarem en els llibres, repatirem premis, explicarem contes, somriurem satisfetes quan vegem que tot ha sortit bé. I per rematar aquest esclat primaveral acabarem amb una senyora batukada que serà el tret de sortida. Anirem a passejar per la Rambla i la flaire de rosa ens perseguirà tot el dia i triarem un llibre i esperarem amb delit el moment en què el podrem obrir i paraula a paraula, línia a línia, pàgina a pàgina ens farà partíceps dels seus secrets. I clourem els ulls sadolls de tantes sensacions i continuarem vivint en els somnis.

Aquest encanteri no caduca fins a la mitjanit del dia de Sant Jordi. Que passeu tots un bon dia.

L'encanteri de Sant Jordi molt bé, Vafalungo, però he de millorar amb el postencanteri. És a dir, a veure si l'any que ve aconsegueixo no quedar-me totalment afònica (avui encara no puc parlar. Que ve que hagis pogut passejar per aquí una estoneta, potser l'encanteri que et vaig enviar funciona i tot:)Petons per a tu també.
